Mary Kahak

Mary Hays Kahak, a retired executive pilot, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2017.
Mary grew up in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and graduated from OCU with a Bachelor of Science in Business.
Following a short career as a stewardess for American Airlines, she married Captain George J. Kahak. Soon the flying bug bit her and after soloing she became an instructor, learned aerobatics, and for a time was the corporate pilot for Sealy Mattress Co.
Mary's first passion was flying followed closely by a love of ballroom dancing.
She often greeted friends with "Hello Ol'Shoe !" and we figure that was probably her greeting at the Pearly Gates.
She'll be missed by all who knew and loved her! Thanks to the angels at Fireside Lodge and Grace Hospice for their unending love and care. Survivors: Josie (Lamar) Bates, Judy (Donn) Pepper, and numerous nieces and nephews and grandpuppies.
