Shirley Jones

Shirley Jean (Edelen) Jones, 79, passed away, Tuesday, January 25, 2022. At her request there will be no formal service. She was born May 19, 1942 in Alton, Illinois to Charles and Gertrude (Cowgill) Edelen. They both preceded her in death along with her husband, Jenner Jones and brother, Chuck Edelen. Shirley served proudly in the US Army. She enjoyed watching old western shows, play games, painting, arrange flowers and collecting elephants. She will be missed. She is survived by her children, Beth Suarez, Michael Suarez, Bob Suarez, Jeanie Clay, Theresa (Matt) Kuzel, Kathryn Parent, Jenner (Mary) Jones Jr and Shannon (Shane) Griffith; siblings, Yvonne Buerk, Robert (Linda) Edelen, Diana Edelen and Carolyn Sawyer; 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; extended family and friends.
