Alma Jones

Alma Jean Trammell Jones passed from this life to her eternal life on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 surrounded by her daughters, family and friends.
Alma is the second born child by her parents Ted and Vena Sisk Trammell. She was born October 8, 1928 in Balsora. She was a farmer's daughter through out her youth and always in the field helping her dad.
She was a 1945 graduate of Bridgeport High, graduating top of her class. Alma was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was an active charter member of Midway Baptist Church.
Alma loved traveling, including her quick trips to the casino, quilting, sewing, canning and bowling. She bowled for 52 consecutive years. Starting at Azle Bowling Alley, finishing her years at Cowtown Bowling Alley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 69 1/2 years, Stanley R. Jones; youngest daughter, Jo Evelyn Jones Rae; brother, Gary Mark Trammell; best friends, Betty and Don Dunaway and Ann and Hollis Hillin
Survivors: Daughters, Velma Sneed and husband, David and Reva Springfield and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Wayne, Jeanne (James), Kaylyn (Will), Mandi (Greg), Trent (Tracy) and Stanna (Paul); eighteen great grandchildren with one due in December; 4 great great grandsons; son in law, Jim Rae and his wife, Diane; and her beloved fur baby, Dolly.
