It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Patrick Little at age 57 on May 17th,
2025. John was born February 8th, 1968 in Camp Pendleton, California to Johnny and Sandra
Little. In 1975, he and his family moved to Springtown where he devoted his life to Christ at the
age of 12 during a revival meeting at Fundamental Baptist Church.
When he was 13, John met the love of his life, Lark Little, at a basketball game. A year later in
1982, his future father-in-law, Bill Wilson and his family were called to pastor Fundamental
Baptist Church in Springtown, TX, where John and his family attended. 17 years later, John
and Lark married on September 25th, 1999 at that very same church.
He was a successful athlete and played multiple sports. He graduated from Harmony Christian
Academy a year early in 1985. He then began to continue his education at Tarrant County
College, but was met with an opportunity to start his own business as a window tinter with his
two brothers, James and Jason. He began his craft at the young age of 19, which he continued
to master until his passing. He excelled in the window tinting industry and was a mentor among
other workers in the trade nationwide, including later passing on his knowledge to his son,
Jacob. As a natural entrepreneur, John opened a second family business, but this time with
Lark in 2002 – a snow cone stand. This endeavor soon involved John and Lark’s children,
Alexis and Jacob. Many summers were spent working there as a family, with Alexis sitting on
the counter as a toddler putting straws and spoons in the cups while Jacob played in a
pack-n-play behind them. Both businesses are still located in Decatur, TX.
John was a devoted husband, spending nearly every day of a 7 month hospital stay at his wife’s
side after Lark suffered a massive heart attack in 2019. Never giving up hope, he remained by
her side waiting for a life-saving heart transplant that Lark received on Christmas that same
year. He was an active and supportive father, passing on several of his passions and hobbies,
including sports and his love of the outdoors to his children. He especially loved spending time
with his two young granddaughters, Ava and Clara Jolly.
John never met a stranger. He treated everyone with friendliness and passed on his
good-natured humor to others. He was a leader in whatever organization he was in, whether it
was at church, bass club, band booster club, or as a friend - John was someone you could go
to for advice, support, or a listening ear.
He loved being outdoors, especially if it involved hunting or fishing. He was a competitive
bass fisherman in the spring and summer, and in the winter you could often find him in a deer
blind.
He always showed up for the big moments in his family’s lives – from countless sporting
events, to band concerts and competitions, weddings, birthdays, and every moment in
between.
John’s wisdom, legacy, and love for the Lord will continue through his family and friends. His lastgreat act of love was in organ donation to save the lives of others.
He was preceded in death by his father Johnny Little.
He is survived by his wife, Lark Little; mother, Sandra Little; son, Jacob Little; daughter,
Alexis Jolly (Jacob Jolly); granddaughters, Ava and Clara Jolly; brothers, James (Tisha) and
Jason (Robin) Little; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Jeanie Wilson; along with many
nieces, nephews, and their spouses and children.
We mourn the loss of an incredible man who bore many titles, including husband, son, father,
grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Yet we rejoice knowing he is worshipping the Creator of
the universe and that we will one day again be reunited in Heaven.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are
many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also. John 14:1-3
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether
we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8
