Tonya Jennings

Tonya Lynn McKnight Jennings, 57, passed away, Friday, December 18, 2020 in Weatherford. Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday at Alexander’s Midway, Springtown, Visitation: 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. She was born July 1, 1963 in Fort Worth. Her father, Fred James McKnight preceded her in death. Tonya was the first of three children and spent most of her time in the kitchen with Granny Goose, where she learned her love of cooking. When she wasn’t cooking or playing with her dolls, she watched her mother in dance contests.
She graduated from Richland High School in 1981 and work as a medical assistant in Grapevine. Tonya known to her grand-babies as “Nana”, loved living with her daughter and was blessed be able to watch her grand babies grow up. She would always smile and laugh and had what Uncle Bobby called a “head bobble”. Im sure we have all seen it. Tonya loved all types of music, especially, Keith Urban. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved Christmas music. She enjoyed decorating and wrapping presents.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are her daughter, Brandi Jennings Castillo and husband, Adrian; mother, Sondra Kay McLaughlin Green; sisters, Lisa Michelle Powell and Sonya Denise Graham and husband, Robert. uncle, Bobby McLaughlin and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Cameron Joseph Jennings and Ashlynn Michelle Castillo; niece, Lauren Guderyon and husband, Josh; nephew, Dylan Powell; adopted daugthers, Shelby, Kathy, Becky and Danielle; extended family and friends.
