James Boston III

James Robert Boston III, 58, of Chico, best known as “JR” by family, friends, and coworkers, passed away, Monday, July 5, 2021, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 10, 1962 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Bobby Boston and Lee Emmert. They both preceded him in death along with his grandparents, Chubby and Nina Emmert.

JR married his wife, Susan, on January 31, 1981, and celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2021. He was an employee for Bridgeport Fish and Rental Tool in Bridgeport for 30 years. JR loved his job, took pride in what he did and was a good person who would help anyone who needed it. He believed in an honest day’s work and was loyal to all those he cared about.

JR is survived by his wife, Susan Boston; son, James Robert Boston IV of Chico; daughter, Melissa Kelsey Rodriguez and husband, Jimmy Rodriguez of Fort Worth; brother, Raymond Boston of Callisburg,; sister, Rona Boston of Mountain, Arkansas; sister, Kimberly Bray of Seligman, Missouri. Jr was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Victoria, Isabella, Tyler, Ryan, Bailey, and has a great-grand baby on the way.
