James Richard Fowler, 77, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away, Friday, July 18, 2025. Born on October 7, 1947, in Muleshoe, Texas, he was the son of James Eugene Fowler and Ruth (Hancock) Fowler, both of whom preceded him in death. James is also reunited in rest with his wives, Alice (Holmes) Elliott and Sherry (Hart) Fowler; son-in-law, Charles Beckwith; and grandson, Cary Michael Fagin.
James spent his formative years in Muleshoe and carried with him a passion for country music and a strong allegiance to his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years, retiring in 1994 with honor and dedication.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his children Emma LaDawn Hofmann and her husband, William; Brandy Beckwith; and Toni VanDolah and her husband, Brian. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Sue Diggs, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Megan, Margo, Emmalee, Emma, and Ava, and his great-grandchildren, Joselynne, Jacob, James, Journey, Elizabeth, and Mickeal.
James Richard Fowler will be remembered for his warmth, strength, and the profound impact he had on the lives of those who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
