Ina Faye Farthing, a devoted wife and loving mother, peacefully passed away at the age of 82 on March 5, 2026, in Fort Worth. Born on January 25 1944, in Rodessa, Louisiana, Ina's life was a testament to love, support, and unwavering dedication to her family.

A proud graduate of Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, class of 1962, Ina built a life characterized by kindness and warmth. Her greatest joy came from supporting her beloved husband, Garry Farthing, throughout his military career—a partnership that lasted 60 beautiful years until Garry’s passing. Together, they created a home filled with love and laughter, instilling values of family and togetherness in their children.

Ina had a vibrant personality that drew others to her. She was a gentle soul who relished the simple pleasures in life. A lover of sports, she found great joy in playing softball and eagerly watching her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Her creative side flourished through painting, allowing her to express her heartfelt emotions in vivid colors.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will carry on through her children: Chris Farthing and his wife Denise, Steve Farthing and wife Jackie, and Mike Farthing. Ina's spirit will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren—Matt, Jordan, Jamie, Madison, Logan, Hannah, Lane—and her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Braxton, Hudson, Jaxson, Emerson, and Onyx.

Ina will also be dearly missed by her sister, Jenny Alspaugh and her husband Joe; her brother Bill Smith and his wife Brenda; and her brother-in-law, Harry Jones, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family friends who treasured her presence in their lives.

In her journey through life, Ina faced challenges with grace and approached each day with love and laughter. Her kindness touched many hearts, and those who knew her will forever cherish the warmth she radiated. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we remember Ina Faye Farthing not just for the life she lived but for the love she so freely gave.
