Francis was born, October 2, 1930 in Lancaster, Ohio to Francis John and Rhea Hulkenberg, Sr. They both preceded him in death along with his wife, Betty Russell Hulkenberg. Survivors: Children, Francis (Sue), William (Joyce), Rebecca (Gary) Suzanne (John) and Tammy; siblings, Fred and Louise; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
