Horace Edward Crouch

Mr. Horace Edward Crouch, affectionately known as "Bud," passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Decatur at the age of 82. He was born on April 4, 1943, in Botetourt, Virginia, to Joseph and Ludie Kathleen (Clark) Crouch, both of whom preceded him in death.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 1 p.m to 4 p.m. at the family's residence. Please contact the family at 817-636-9474 for more informaiton.

With a remarkable career spanning 55 years, Bud dedicated his life to being an over-the-road truck driver, covering more than 6 million miles. His commitment to his work exemplified his strong work ethic and determination. Bud was married to his beloved wife, Carol Crouch, for 60 wonderful years. Together, they created a loving home and cherished family life, raising their children with care and devotion.

Bud was a devoted husband and father whose love for his family was unwavering. He took pleasure in gardening and enjoyed working on various projects in his shop, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Crouch; children, Joseph Crouch and wife Laura, Theresa Snoddy and husband Thomas, and Lorie Ann Crouch; siblings, Susie Smith and husband Pete, Joseph Crouch and wife Mary, Lewis Crouch and wife Florence, Bobby Crouch and wife Robin, Dennis Crouch, and Rick Brown; grandchildren, Joseph, Dominique, Troy, and Tessa; great-grandchildren, Keden, Ava, Levi, Sawyer, Jameson and Alayna; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Bud's legacy of love and dedication to his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
