Albert Hooper Jr

Albert Henry Hooper Jr. , 79, was reunited with his daughter and family on Friday, February 29, 2024 in Decatur. He was born March 3, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island to Albert Henry Hooper Sr and Elisabeth (Denham) Hooper. Albert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Gould; sister, Barbara Cotrone and daughter, Jean Hooper- Johnson. He served in the US Navy for 22 years, retiring as a Petty Officer 1st Class. Afterward he worked for Virginia Power Plant as a switch board operator retiring after 20 years. Albert continued to work for the Navy as a Recreational Aid after retirement. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and member of the HOG club for 25 years. Albert enjoyed playing darts and was involved in league play for many years. He loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Albert is survived by his son, Albert Henry Hooper III. and wife Traci; brother Joe Hooper and wife Sandy, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
