Joe Hicks

Joe Dee Hicks, 83, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020. He was born September 1, 1936 in Gilmer, Texas to Henry Lee and Oma (Knight) Hicks. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Edna Hale and two brothers, Winfred and Wayne Hicks. He is survived by his daughters, Twila Ortiz and husband Fidel of Hart, TX, Shala Comer and husband Charles of Fans, OK, and Angie O’Brien an husband Robert of McKinney, TX; sons, Jay D. Hicks of Tennessee and Michael Hicks and wife Mary of Hart, TX; sisters, Carole Williams and husband Bobby of Mesquite, TX, Martha Bullard and husband Richard of Crowley, TX and Jan Lawrence and husband Roger of Kentucky; brothers, Bill Hicks and wife Susan of Round Rock, TX and David Hicks and wife Sharon of Killeen, TX; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
