James William Henry of Nocona, passed away, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the age of 89. He was born on June 10, 1930 in Stoneburg to Senter L. Henry and Wilmar (Milton) Henry. James lived the cowboy was of life, still riding horses till the very end. He started his cowboy ways by riding bulls and horses at the age of 13. Then joining the rodeo circuit at the age of 19. At the age of 23 James joined the Army and fought in the Korean War from 1953-1955. When he returned from he war, he went on to purse his true love of ranching. Throughout James’s life he was a foreman on several big ranches including Selre C Cattle Company and 3 Bars Ranch along with running his own horses and cattle. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steve Henry. James is survived by his sons, Jim Henry of Joshua and Neal Zielinski of Tampa, Florida; along with numerous nieces nephews and grandchildren.
