Jean Hendrix passed away, May 28, 2019, at home in Bowie, TX, under Hospice Care, after a seven week battle with cancer.
Jean was born December 5, 1942 in Purcell, OK to Leroy and Ruby (Archer) Ketner. She was raised in Washington, OK, where she met and married her husband, of 59 years, Birk Hendrix on May 12, 1960.
She lived her life loving her family, her horses and every animal she came across.
Jean was preceded in death by both her parents, of Middleburg, OK; her granddaughter, Courtney Hendrix of Justin, TX; brother, Ted Ketner of Keller, TX; daughter, Lorena Robertson Haslet, TX.
She is survived by her husband, Birk Hendrix of Bowie, TX; sister, Evelyn Hooper of Middleburg, OK; sister-in-law, Wanita Ketner of Keller, TX; son, Danny Hendrix and his wife, Fran of Justin, TX; daughters, Amanda Reed and husband Tim of Boyd, TX; Anna Benge and husband Eric of Ft. Worth, TX; son-in-law, Hal Roberts of Haslet, TX; grandkids, Nina Hendrix, Cassie Shockey and husband Matthew, Danielle Griffin and husband Adam, Will Roberts, Ryan Reed, Mia Benge and Sophia Benge; great-grandkids, Reed Griffin and Ember Hendrix; numerous brother and sister-in-laws & nieces and nephews.
