Fredrick McKinley Harlow, 68, peacefully passed away after a short battle with cancer on May 25, 2024. He passed at home surrounded by family who loved him dearly. Freddy, son of Otto and Maxine (Breeden) Harlow, was born in Kankakee, Illinois on December 2, 1955.
He is survived by his two children with Wendy Haynes; son, Zackery and his wife Chelsie, and daughter Kayse Harlow. Freddy had a long prosperous career with Albertson's as a delivery driver and dispatcher. He then retired from Penske Truck Rental after being a dispatcher and Safety Manager last year.
He lived a simple life by riding his motorcycle with his friends and club members Guardian of the Children, going to car shows, playing music with friends and family, and singing hymns and playing guitar. Freddy was a man that never knew a stranger and always had kinds words of wisdom to those around him. He was hard working and did everything he could to make sure his family was taken care of. He was a strong believer in Jesus Christ our savior and we know that he is now fishing those heavenly lakes with his father Otto. He will be dearly loved and missed by all.
Please join us at the Branded Cross Cowboy Church and Arena on June 8, 2024 at 10 am for his final journey. We will be having a pot luck with all friends and family after his memorial. After that we will be giving dad one last ride if anyone would like to join us.
