James Hardy Jr

James Henry Hardy Jr., 82, went home to the be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was born September 7, 1942 in Sacramento, California to Josa Mae and James Henry Hardy. They both preceded him in death along with his wife, Maggie, step-son, Benny Rushing and grandsons, Stetson Hoskins, Adam Wilhoite, Oakley Wilhoute and James Michael Hancock. James worked most of his life as a machinist and owned a several bars in Waco, Riesel and Mineral Wells. He enjoyed dancing, singing karaoke, fishing, bowling, golfing and playing pool. He is survived by his son, Jody Hardy and wife, Patricia; Jamie Hardy and Robby Hardy; daughters, Elizabeth Waller and Angela Rodgers; step-son, Donald Rushing; sister, Marie Bowland; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Simon; 39 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and one on the way; niece/daughter, Lucy Guest; and many nieces and friends.
