Gregory James Hager (Greg) returned home to his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2019 at the age of 62 in Baylor Fort Worth due to complications from his illness. Greg resided in Azle, Texas and leaves behind a loving family.
Greg was born on July 30,1957 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to his parents, James Hager and Jerry Rollins (Greaser). Greg was a very bright person who enjoyed talking with friends and family about all things in life. He served in the U. S. Army as a SP4 from 1975 to 1979 and was a member of the Auxiliary for VFW Post 2137 in Azle, Texas. He loved playing poker, trading sports cards, grilling out, cooking, baking and gardening. He was a great Philadelphia Eagles fan and backed them no matter what. Greg spent the last few years enjoying his Grandchildren by reading to them and teaching them to cook and garden. He was a very loving man to his family and friends and dedicated servant to his Lord.
Greg leaves behind his loving wife, Billie Jo Hager; his mother Jerry Rollins (Greaser); his sons, Doug Hager and wife Kelly; Shawn Hager and wife Noreen; Gregory Hager Jr and wife Dana and Jeremy Ervin; his daughters, Erin Hager; and Jessica Steward; and his sister, Janet Rollins. Greg will be greatly missed by his 10 grandchildren; along with other loving extended family members and countless friends made throughout his wonderful and charitable life.
Greg was preceded in death by his father’s James Leroy Hager and Les Rollins.
While Greg's family greatly grieves his passing, they wish for everyone that knew and loved him to come and celebrate his life, a life well lived, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas Texas 75211 for a Graveside Service at 2:15 PM.
