Thelma Delores Gentry, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 13, 2020. She was born August 23, 1927 in St. Joseph, Missouri but raised four generations of children in Springtown, which was her home for over 63 years. She retired from Eagle Mountain Area Suburban Hospital where she worked as the Central Supply Manager. Although devoted to her work at EMASH, what she loved most was being a mom and grandmother; this was her greatest accomplishment and joy. Thelma, was an excellent cook and many of her recipes are still being made by her family today. She enjoyed watching crime reality TV, including Lone Star Law and Live P.D. and she never missed sending out Christmas or birthday cards. She was a member of Hilltop Family Church and read her bible daily. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eual Rexford Gentry; daughters, Mary Gentry, Frances Pitney and Christy Feltman and grandchildren, Kenneth Thomas Gentry and Abigail Twa; survivors, daugther Kathy Thompson; sons, Andy Gentry and wife, Marcia and Thomas Gentry and wife, Debbie; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Parker County (www.cacparkercounty.org).
