Donald Gay

Donald R. Gay, 69, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Fort Worth. He was born January 18, 1953 in Fort Worth. Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Anne Mae (December 1999) and father, Hilton Gay (December 2001) and grandson, Kaden Gay (December 2017). He was a beloved husband, amazing Dad, awesome gramps, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who touched many, many lives. Donald worked as an assistant manager with O’Reilly Auto Parts in Joshua for the past 9 years; as well as former business owner. He married the love of his life, December 22, 1982 in Fort Worth and were married 39 years, 1 month and 18 days. Donald is survived by his wife, Sherri (Knowles) Gay of Joshua; sons, Casey Gay and spouse, Carlie Ackerman of Tolar and Rickey Gay and spouse, Ray Mecham of Joshua; grandchildren, Kodi Gay and CJ Gay of Tolar and Carter Meacham of Fort Worth; his fur baby, Rocky and Toby; sisters, Diane Cagle of Cleburne, Shelby Wickersham and spouse, Gary of Lawton, OK., Becky Dobbs and spouse, Paul of Godley and Ruby Iker and spouse, Gary of Allen, OK.; brother Rick Gay of River Oaks; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; all of who will miss him, dearly.
