Alice Farris

NEWARK -- Alice Marie Ownbey Farris, 74, a loving and faithful wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at home with her family surrounding her. Alice was born July 14, 1942 in Grant Park, Illinois to Dewey and Mildred Smith Ownbey. They both preceded her in death along with a sister, Peggy Lee. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Samuel Farris; daughter, Sandy Farris and partner, Pam Majka; son, Samuel Farris, Jr. and wife, Connie; brother, Ronald Ownbey and partner, Shirley; grandchildren, Micah and Amanda.
