Darrel Fanning

Darrel Lynn Fanning, 54, passed away, Monday, September 25, 2023 in Decatur. He was born June 1, 1969 in Denton. His mother, Betty (Newland) Fanning preceded him in death along with his brother, Donny Fanning. Darrel grew up in the Keller area. He enjoyed fishing, collecting cowboy hats and was an animal lover. He owned and operated a construction business and worked at one time for Peterbuilt. Darrel was good with his hands and like to tinker. He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Walker) Fanning; father, H.C. Fanning; step-daughter, Caitlin Ward; step-son, Taylor Ward; brothers, Dale Fanning and Daniel Fanning and wife, Kathy; extended family and friends.
