A proud graduate of Glen Rose High School, Elridge went on to serve the State of Texas as a maintenance worker for many years, retiring with a sense of accomplishment and the knowledge that he had contributed to the community that he cherished. His work ethic was strong and resolute; he took pride in every task he undertook, ensuring that he provided for his beloved family.
Elridge was not just a hard worker but also a man who relished the simple joys of life. He had an incredible appreciation for good music and found immense happiness in the moments shared with his devoted wife, Gladys. Their love was a testament to commitment, joy, and companionship, a bond that deeply enriched their lives.
As a father, Elridge exemplified unconditional love. His children, Julia Harris and Eldridge Elwood Harris VII (Seth), held a special place in his heart as he guided them with wisdom and support throughout their lives. He is. preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Gilbert Daniels, two brothers, and one sister.
Elridge is survived by his loving wife, Gladys Kay (Wingate) Harris; his children, Julia and Seth; and his precious grandchildren, Devon and Esperanza. He also leaves behind his brothers, Steve and David Harris; nieces and nephews who shared his everyday life with him.
