Elaine Verdin

A private service  will be held for Mrs. Elaine (Perry) Verdin, 87, who passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Decatur. She was born July 6, 1939, to Ivery Perry Sr. and Grace (Stafford) Perry in Crowley, LA. Elaine is preceded in death by her Parents; husband, Adam Joseph Verdin; brothers, Kenneth Perry, Preston Perry, John Henry Perry, George Alton Perry; sister, Lorraine (Perry) Hoffpauir.

Elaine was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with her family.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Brian Verdin and his wife Connie and Adam Wade Verdin; sisters, Linda Arceneaux and her husband Dr. David Hartson, Harriett (Perry) Fretwell, Muriel “Keke” (Perry) Fachan; grandchildren, Ryan Verdin, Patrick Verdin and his wife Kennedy, Sean Verdin, Amber Smith-Verdin and her husband Micycle, Ellen Ketchens and spouse Melissa, Sadie Verdin, and Grace Verdin; great-grandchildren, Adam, Seth, and Fox, along with numorus nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
