Ricky Joe Draper, 63, of Azle, ended his battle with cancer, Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was born September 21, 1960, in Fort Worth to Martha Draper and was lovingly adopted by Louie Draper as a young child.
As the eldest of five children, Ricky Joe had a fiercely protective nature towards his family. Despite enjoying the occasional mischief, he was always ready to stand up for his family, displaying unwavering loyalty and love.
Throughout his life, Ricky Joe faced various challenges and emerged victorious in most of them. He approached life with determination and resilience, demonstrating his indomitable spirit.
Ricky Joe possessed a wide range of interests that brought him joy. He found solace in the tranquility of fishing, the thrill of hunting, and the entertainment of scrolling through TikTok. He was a man of many talents, often described as a "jack of all trades." Ricky Joe took pleasure in working with his hands, had careers in roofing, carpentry, and general construction work.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ricky Joe understood that his boisterous personality made him the life of every party. He had a zest for life that was infectious, and his presence could light up a room. Ricky Joe had a deep appreciation for nature, particularly trees and herbs. He also had a fondness for Budweiser, which often accompanied his vibrant conversations and laughter.
Ricky Joe is now reunited with his beloved parents, Martha and Louie Draper, who welcomed him into eternal peace. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Therese (Tinna) Harris-Draper, his children Jason Stephens, Loren Harris, and Molly Jo Draper, as well as his siblings Lee Draper, Terri Youngblood, Kelly Griffin, and Kimberly Smith.
