Douglas Wayne Meinerts

Mr. Douglas Wayne Meinerts, 57, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his home in Springtown. He was born January 27, 1969, to Carlos Dean Meinerts and Norma Jean (Finley) Meinerts in Killeen, TX. His parents preceded him in death.

Douglas grew up an Army brat, moving around the country. He finally settled in Springtown, where he met the love of his life, Sandy. They spent the next 30 years making a home and raising a family. He was a roofing contractor for 30 years.

Douglas was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved family and was a friend to many. He would help anyone in need if he could. Douglas enjoyed leatherworking and fishing. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family and a steadfast work ethic that ensured his family was provided for.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Sandy Young; children, Jacob Meinerts and his wife Anna, Jason Meinerts, and Samuel Meinerts; sisters, Sherry Meinerts and Carla Allred and her husband Wade; grandchildren, Hollis, Heidi, and Clara, along with several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
