Dixie Grace Gaebler, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Aurora, Texas. Born on June 16, 1984, in San Marcos, Texas, Dixie was raised in the vibrant community of Vernon, Texas. In her teenage years, she ventured into the DFW Metroplex, a move that would shape much of her joyous and adventurous spirit.

Dixie’s life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to embracing every moment with an infectious laughter and a remarkable sense of humor. Her zest for life was an inspiration to those around her. As a mother, she was a shining beacon of love and support to her two wonderful children, Ausar Udjat and Chloe Goad. Even as life brought its challenges — including the end of her marriage to Jon Goad, which took place on October 5, 2002 — Dixie's bond with Jon remained strong. Their friendship served as a testament to their shared commitment to their children and to each other’s well-being, with Jon serving as a steadfast support until the very end.

Dixie's thirst for knowledge knew no bounds. She was particularly passionate about theological studies, always striving to broaden her understanding of the world and the mysteries of life. Her interests were diverse and vibrant, encompassing everything from travel and camping to computer games and exhilarating new experiences like parasailing. She loved gardening, spending a lot of time planting trees, flowers and vegetables. Dedicating herself to self-improvement, she took on the art of quilting, showcasing her creativity and cherished ability to make lasting memories.

Dixie leaves behind a rich tapestry of love and connection, remembered fondly by her mother, Teresa Martinez; her sister, Crystal Watkins, along with her husband Isiah; and her brother, Robert Gaebler, accompanied by his wife Lori. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Gaebler, and her brother, John R. Owen.

Her legacy is one of kindness, warmth, and an unwavering spirit. Dixie Grace Gaebler will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory continue to inspire laughter, love, and the courageous pursuit of life in all its beauty.
