Eddie Dial

July 17, 1947 — June 24, 2023

Edwin "Eddie" Len Dial, 75, was born in Atlanta to Victor and Marie Dial on July 17, 1947 and went to be with our Lord, Saturday, June 24. 2023. He attended high school at MacArthur in Irving. He was drafted into the
United States Army where he served proudly for 8.5 years, with the majority
of that time he was stationed in Germany. He married the love of his life, Dene, on June 8, 1983. They were married for 40 years and shared a blended family of 4 boys, his 2 sons, Eddie Herring and
Christopher Dial and Dene's 2 sons, Trae Luttrell, and Matt Luttrell. He loved her 2 boys just like his own and never referred to them as stepsons…… They Were HIS boys. In his lifetime he pursued several careers, car salesman, repo man, welding and trading horses as a sideline. He met many of his lifelong friends as a car salesman. He had many hairy stories as a repo man. He did offshore welding, which led to his last career as the owner of Hometown Welding where all 4 of his boys learned their welding skills from him. His hobby was going camping nearly every weekend with friends and family. He loved meeting new people and never met a stranger. To say he loved his grandchildren would be an understatement. They were his pride and joy.. his life….his world. He really loved all little kids and would always try to interact with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Dene Dial of Decatur; his sons, Eddie Herring and wife, Angela of Briar, Christopher Dial and wife, Billie Jo of Briar, Trae Luttrell and wife, Wendi of Boyd and Matthew Luttrell and wife, Alisha of Boyd. Sister, Joy Waters and husband Kenneth of Atlanta. Nine grandchildren: Coy Herring, Lexi Herring, Justin Harris, Bailee Luttrell, Baylie Michelle Harris, Marti Luttrell, Emylie Luttrell, Cope Luttrell and Rendyn Reed; 2 great grandchildren with one on the way. Also a host of
nieces, nephews and extended family on his wife’s side and numerous friends and associates.
