Dayle Franklin Courts, 82, passed away, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in Mineral Wells. He was born October 17, 1943 in Windom, Minnesota to Franklin and Alice (Groman) Courts. They both preceded him in death along with his daughter, Lisa Courts and brother, John Courts. Dayle grew up in Jeffers, Minnesota where he graduated from high school. He went on to be in the Navy and then the Army where he served during Vietnam. He was stationed at Fort Wolters in Mineral Wells where he learned to fly. Later he became a commercial pilot and worked for Bell Helicopter as a flight instructor. He also worked as a helicopter pilot where he transported workers to and from off shore oil rigs. His travels took him to many places around the world such as, Iran, Singapore and Taiwan. Later in life enjoyed assembling model trains and cars and working on the ranch raising live stock. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Peggy Courts, Jeffrey Courts and wife, Hollie and Heather Joplin and husband, Cody; grandchildren, Krisiti Barnes and husband, Brian, Josh Cooke, Kati Cooke, Shae Courts, River Joplin and Lennon Joplin; and great granddaughter, Makayla Barnes.
He will be laid to rest in a private burial at Woodland Park.
