Cynthia Bailey

Cynthia “Cindy” Bailey, age 58, passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1967, to Loyd and Alice Yates.

Cindy was a loving wife and mother, a proud and wonderful grandmother—affectionately known as “Gigi” by her grandbabies, who she loved more than anything—a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and an amazing, caring aunt. She had a carefree spirit and a gift for making people laugh. Though she faced many challenges later in life, Cindy showed incredible strength and resilience—never giving up and continuing to push forward. She may have been small in stature, but she was truly mighty in heart.

Cindy cherished spending time with her family and found joy in cooking and bringing loved ones together. She dedicated 11 years of her life working at Walmart, where she was known for helping both customers and coworkers with kindness and warmth. To know Cindy was to love her, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her mother, Alice Yates; her sons, Justin Yates and his wife Dana, and Christopher Henson; her brother, James Yates; her sisters, Debbie Braswell, Angie Tidwell, and Jessica Yates; and her beloved grandchildren, Billy, Nikkie, Dyson, and Maddie, who lovingly knew her as “Gigi.” She also leaves behind her nieces Ashlie, Amber, Whittany, and Brittany, Haleigh, Kaleigh and Myranda; and nephew, Jeremy along with numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Loyd Yates; her husband, John Mann; her son, Peanut; and her daughters, Krystyna Kendrick and Jaimie Henson.

Her love, strength, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
