Valerie Cole

Valerie Joy Cole, 51, of Springtown, Texas, unexpectedly entered into rest the morning of June 18, 2021 in Comanche Oklahoma. Born in Dallas, Texas on July 3, 1969, to George and Sandra (Mitchell) Gariby. She married and later divorced Larry Simmons. They had two children together, Salena and Lakota. On December 30, 2005 she married Clay Cole of Rathbone, New York in Weatherford, Texas. Valerie was a longtime bartender and had also been employed at a cleaning service, dry cleaner and home care provider. Her joy of being a mother was second to only that of being a grandmother. Valerie enjoyed riding her motorcycle (Esmerelda), horse (Randy) and being mom to any animal that she crossed paths with. Valerie and Randy were both survivors of Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, West Bank 2005. Valerie is preceded in death by her mother Sandra, sister Venessa and brother Vance. She is survived by her father George Gariby, husband Clay Cole both of Springtown, TX, daughter Salena (Cody) Hankins, son Lakota Simmons both of Comanche, OK, son Dylan Cole of Searcy, Arkansas, grandsons Jaxson, Grayson and Woodson Hankins and granddaughter Amira Cole.
