Caroline Clark journeyed home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 13, 2024.
Caroline was born to Joseph and Josephine Kostyk of Rockdale, Illinois, on May 29, 1934. She married Bill Clark on June 16, 1956. She awaits a joyous reunion with her daughter, Kathy Jo Nance, grandchildren Matthew Dunn and wife Diamond , Shane Nance and fiancée Erynn Fish, Shanna Nance-Pierce and husband Sean, Angela Nance and husband Joel Dykstra, and nephew John Krochmolny; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
For 90 years, Caroline built a home and legacy of love, service and joy. Our own Lucille Ball, she left memories of unintended laughter, a mile-long stubborn streak , and a mischievous side eye that left us in stitches. She taught us how to grieve, to comfort one another, to overcome challenges, and value the gift of family. She found fullness of joy in the Lord’s presence, and His joy was her strength.
For decades, Caroline loved teaching and caring for children. She always had a song in her heart, songs she’d share whenever the mood struck (especially if a piano was nearby). She never met a stranger, which meant trips to Walmart always took a bit longer than expected.
A consummate prayer warrior, Caroline would intercede faithfully on behalf of those she met on her life’s journey through Illinois, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas. She leaves many broken hearts in North Texas where she has lived with her daughter for the last 20 years.
