Janet Church

Janet Marie (Steffen) Church, 68, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 in Fort Worth. She was born October 2, 1955 in Buffalo, New York to Richard L. and Lillian (Staerker) Steffen. Janet was preceded in death by her parents. She was raised in Sloan, New York and graduated from Kennedy High School. After graduation Janet entered the Marine Corps in 1975. There she met the love of her life, Jack Church. They were married in 1977 at Camp Pendleton, CA. The couple moved to Fort Worth in 1978 where they raised their daughter Sharon and have remained for 40 years. Janet enjoyed holiday decorating, singing and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jackson "Jack" Church; daughter, Sharon Church; sister, Barbara Pepe and husband Marty; brothers, Richard Steffen and wife, Karen and Scott Steffen and wife, Kristi; sisters, Barbara Willard and husband, Ken, Linda Jann, and Pat Rieser and husband, Ralf, mother-in-law, Frances Fincher; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Janet was a loving Wife Mother, and Sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
