Charles Lindon Sanders

Charles Lindon Sanders, 86, peacefully passed away, Friday, September 5, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born December 8, 1938, in Weatherford, he was the son of Jake and Elida (Chandler) Sanders, and grew up on the family farm in Poolville. His parents preceded him in death along with his brother, Chandler Sanders.

Charles dedicated his life to hard work and service. He held a position at Weldon Mechanical Contractors and was a lifelong farmer. His remarkable versatility was evident in his own words: “I can dig your ditch, do your plumbing, or keep your books.”

Charles will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 67 years, Doris (Barfield) Sanders, along with his cherished daughters, Linn Ragle and Lesli Edwards. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Misty Groves, Jake Ragle, Sarah Elizabeth Payne, and Connor Charles Payne, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dallas, Abby Moore, Emeri, Addison, and Piper Ragle.

He is also survived by his dear cousins, Jo Hickman, Randy Heady, and Sharon Bennett, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love, dedication, and resilience that will be remembered by all who knew him.
