Born on August 4, 1984, in Springtown, Cecil was a proud native of the area, having graduated from Springtown High School in 2002. His dedication to his upbringing and community shaped him into the hard-working man that those who knew him loved deeply.
Cecil had a commendable career in the oil and gas industry, reflecting not only his work ethic but also his commitment to providing for his family. He approached his job with the same passion he brought to every aspect of his life, embodying the values instilled in him throughout his upbringing.
Above all else, Cecil cherished his family. He leaves behind two adoring children, Bryce and Bailey, who were the lights of his life. His guiding presence will be missed profoundly by them. Cecil was also a devoted son to Cecil Hollingsworth Jr. and Deanna Hollingsworth, embracing the importance of family bonds and the love that ran deep within it. He is further survived by his brother, Anthony, and sister-in-law, Ashley, as well as his brother, Chris and fiancé ,Charlei. The loss felt will be immense, extending to numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family who shared in the warmth of his spirit.
Beyond his professional life, Cecil took great joy in his personal passions. He found solace in fishing, reveled in playing golf, and was an ardent fan of college sports, particularly the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. These interests painted a picture of a man who loved adventure, camaraderie, and the thrill of friendly competition.
Cecil’s legacy will live on through the memories he created, the love he shared, and the unparalleled spirit he brought into the lives of those who had the honor of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira M. Gustafson and Judith Gustafson, whose memory he carried with him as a treasured part of his journey.
