Carolyn Louise (Elsberry) Shannon, 72, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away, Sunday, July 26, 2026 in Fort Worth after a brief illness. She was born July 6, 1954 in Douglas, Nebraska to Fay D. and Frieda (Kline) Elsberry. They both preceded her in death along with her husband, Bobby Shannon and sister, Dawn Clark. Carolyn worked in healthcare for 33 years in several nursing homes and home health as a Nurses Aide. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing, and loved to listen to music including, Elvis, Dolly Parton and Dwight Yoakam. She also was a lover of all animals and enjoyed plants and gardening. She is remembered loving by her children, Michael Elsberry and wife, Lisa, Mark Elsberry and wife, Misty, Jerry Elsberry and William Waddle and wife, Christine; sisters, Sharon Santos and Tina Bishop; sisters, Toni Ballenger and Wanda Humble; grandchildren, Dustin, Breanna, Ty, Ashley, Jacqueline, JJ and Jacob; great grandchildren, Harmony, James, Lucas, Addi, Grace, Alex Mac, Felix and Emmett. All of whom will miss her dearly.
