Alan Dale Browning, 66, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at home surrounded by those that love him. He was born June 2, 1953 at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth. Alan traveled the world as a U.S. Air Force "brat" before his father retired and the family settled near Springtown, Texas. He graduated from Springtown High School in 1971, where he met his future wife, Beth. As high school sweethearts, they were inseparable for 49 years. Alan served in the U.S. Army for six years, spending three of those years stationed in Kaiserslautern, West Germany. After military service, he enjoyed a long career as a Systems Analyst for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. He had many interests which included owning and flying his own Piper Cub and Cessna airplanes, rebuilding antique airplanes, and playing bass guitar in the local classic rock and blues band "The Panther City Playboys." He was also an avid video gamer and science fiction fan. His father, Donald Gene Browning, Sr, preceded him in death. Alan is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Goldie “Beth” Browning; daughter, Allison “Kari” Browning; mother, Joyce Bates Browning; sister, Glenda Margerum and husband, Wayne; brother, Donald Gene Browning, Jr.; nephew, Troy; nieces Lora, Katja and Courtney, as well as extended family and friends
