Karen Irene Leavitt Brown, 64, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandma, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 17, 2017 at home surrounded by those that love her.
A memorial and scattering of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Gilmore Station, West Virginia with her brother.
Karen was born November 3, 1952 in Gilmore Station, West Virginia to Dallas Edward and Ina Paulene DeMoss Leavitt. They both preceded her in death along with her brother, John Leavitt. She had volunteered with Neighbors to Neighbors in Springtown.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, James D. Brown; daughters, Sarah Brown,Teresa (Rogers) Maksymyshyn and Kimberly (Burdick) Marzullo ; and grandson Dallas Brown and Aleksander and Ryan Maksymyshyn.
