Tootie (Gloria Joyce) Morris Brosseau Obituary
May 8, 2024 Tootie (Gloria Joyce) Morris Brosseau ran into the arms of Jesus. Upon Tootie’s arrival in heaven she was greeted by her dad, Elmer Claude Morris, Pvt Marine Corps and mom Jan (Genevieve) Lange Morris Gilmore. Tootie’s sister Birdie (Beverley) Hughes, Aunt Vera Lange Hoagland, Cousin Gen and many others engulfed her in heavenly hugs.
Tootie was born in Richmond, CA on July 18, 1945. Her dad tragically lost his life as a fireman in 1947. Soon after Tootie’s mom moved her two daughters back to Omaha, NE. She graduated from Omaha North High School in 1963. Tootie then entered the University of Nebraska @ Omaha. She was quickly side tracked with marriage and children. Tootie finished her Bachelor of Business degree at Bellevue College in 2002.
Tootie was an avid reader, gardener, volunteer, traveler, hugger & prayer warrior. She could easily read 300-500 pages a day. Tootie loved socializing with anyone & everyone. She loved giving and receiving hugs to all. Tootie was honored to help her friend Sally commit her life to Jesus. She loved volunteering at local schools, Cub Scouts, AWANAS, retirement centers, museums and church. Tootie was known for her vibrant personality and smile.
In 2004, Tootie retired from Accounting at ConAgra Foods. She and her husband later moved to Glen Rose, TX. She wanted to enjoy warm sunshine and her grandkids. One of Tootie’s greatest joys was being called Grammie. Tootie enjoyed volunteering on the kitchen and VBS teams at Cottonwood Baptist.
