Michael James Boatman, Jr., 58, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Fort Worth. He was born October 14, 1962 in Grants Pass, Oregon. His grandparents Bill and Eloise Coffey preceded him in death. Mike grew up in Grants Pass then moved to Texas. He served in the US Air Force. Mike was an avid hunter, enjoyed barbecuing, scuba diving and tinkering with cars especially corvettes. He worked for Discount Tires for 25 years where he retired as a sales manager. He also volunteered as a fireman with the River Oaks Fire Department for 15 years. Mike had a generous nature and always placed others before himself. Above all else, he loved being “Gramps” to his many grandchildren. Left to remember his quick wit and lots of laughs are his wife, Stacy Boatman; children, Steven Odom and wife, Ellen, Stephanie Grant and husband, Travis, Tiffany Salazar and husband, Luke, Cynthia Ayala and husband, Andrew, and Michael Boatman; mother, Pamela Rodriguez; sisters, Michelle Coffey and husband, John and Melissa Campbell and husband, Rex; grandchildren, Mia, Miley, Grayson, Brayden, Emmitt, Tallulah, Madelyn, Cooper, Malik and one on the way.
