Werva Bingham

Werva Jeanette Bingham, 89, passed away, Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Bridgeport.
She was born on November 8, 1932, in Goree, Texas. Werva was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her career in the banking industry spanned more than four decades between Wichita Falls, Duncan, Woodward, and Oklahoma City before retiring at age 80 from Citizens Bank in Kilgore, TX.
Werva had a strong Christian upbringing and raised her family with the same values. Even when she was unable to attend church, she would watch the Sunday sermon broadcast on tv from St. Luke's United Methodist in Oklahoma City. She loved hearing the stories and messages of faith taught by the pastor, Dr. Long.
Werva's best days were playing a round of golf, spending time with her family, or shopping, especially for shoes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lila Faye and Farris Howze Mobley of Goree, TX; sister Mona Mobley Pribyla of Seymour, TX; sister Delores Mobley Lambeth of Munday, TX; daughter Genie Fay Bingham Linn of Tyler, TX; son Darrell Lee Bingham of Corpus Christi, TX; and grandson Drew Bingham of Corpus Christi, TX.
Werva is survived by her son, Dennis and wife, Debora; sister Gay Mobley Yost; Grandchildren: Brad Bingham (Jennifer), Stephanie Bingham Eldridge (Tim), Steven Bingham (Jamie), Greg Bingham (Lori), Derek Bingham (Kristen), Meredith Linn Wright (Jeff), William Linn, Matthew Linn (Claudia), Justin Flores (Becky), and 24 great-grandchildren.
