On October 1, 2025, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by the warmth and affection that she so generously gave throughout her life. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Betty shared an extraordinary bond with her sister, Carolyn Cunningham. Their lives were intricately woven together; they always lived next door to each other, creating countless cherished memories. For the last decade of her life, Betty resided with Carolyn, a testament to their unbreakable bond as sisters. Together, they navigated life's ups and downs, finding joy in the simplest moments and solace in each other's company.

A strong-willed and private person, she managed to touch innumerable lives with her unwavering support and genuine care.
Betty held a variety of interests that brought her joy. A lover of mysteries, she could often be found engrossed in a good book. She enjoyed playing cards and had a penchant for gardening, where she cultivated a haven of beauty around her home. One of her greatest delights was savoring root beer floats, a treat she insisted on keeping all to herself during her last indulgence as she joked to her family not to share with Carolyn.
Betty is survived by her beloved sisters, Carolyn Cunningham and Dorothy Rogillio, whose lives she enriched daily. Her legacy continues through her nephews, Michael Stinson and his wife Michelle, and Bill Guthrie and his wife Selina, Michael Rogillio, and niece Lori Rogillio. She was also a proud great aunt to Dayna (Stinson) Bryant and her husband Nathaniel, and a great aunt to Xavier Stinson. Together, they carry forward the values and lessons she imparted over the years, cherishing the love she infused into their lives.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Willie "Buck" Montgomery and Lena (Rosson) Montgomery, whose love laid the foundation for her own compassionate nature, and, nephew, Jason Cunningham
