Betty Burton Jones

Betty Frank Burton Jones, 89, passed away, Monday, May 26, 2025 at home in Weatherford. She was born May 31, 1935 in Denom, Texas to Dorothy Stanfield and Paul S. Burton. They both preceded her in death along with her devoted husband, E.L. Jones; son, Larry G. Jones; daughter, Mitzi Williams; and sisters, Patsy Little and Shirley Rich.

Betty met E.L. at Crozier Tech High School where he played on the football team and she was a Majorette. They were married on May 2, 1953. They were blessed with four children. She was a functional member of several churches during her lifetime, she loved going to church and participating in all the classes. Teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school. she received several awards for volunteering and giving to many different organization.

Left to cherish fond memories are her children, Steve Jones and wife, Vanessa and Rusty Jones and wife, Tracie. 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family and many longtime friends.
