Collette Rae Bayless, 71, joined her husband in heaven, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Decatur, surrounded by her daughter and her favorite grandson-in-law when she passed.
She was born January 29, 1953 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Joe and Edith Lahon. They both preceded her in death along with her husband of 40 years, Ronnie Bayless, and brother James “Moose” Lawhon.
Collette loved her family more than anything in the world and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was proud of each and every one of them. She loved to go to sporting events, band concerts, and family get togethers when she was able. Recently she loved reading, being on Facebook, and taking care of her African Violet she named Elizabeth.
She is survived by her children, Deena Tedder and Scotty (Angela) Bayless. grandchildren, Tiffany Brown and husband, Michael, Dylan Swackhammer and husband, Cody, James Tedder and girlfriend, Jaiden Blackwell, Baret Tedder and wife,Maddie, Ryan Brenz and wife, Rachel, Trenton Richardson and wife, Lauren; great-grandchildren, Cannon, JJ, Indigo, Lennox, Vince, Violet, Tinlee, and Taylee. Along with many extended family members and friends.
Collette will be missed dearly by everyone who got the privilege of knowing her.
