Barbara Joan Long

Barbara Joan  (Hanson) Long passed away on April 12, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on February 4, 1934, Barbara lived a full and devoted life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Barbara dedicated many years of her career working as a secretary for Dairy Fresh, where her diligence and commitment were appreciated by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her professional accomplishments, it was her role within her family that truly defined her. She was the heart and soul of her household, providing unwavering love and support.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Cecil Murphy Long; her beloved son, David Lee Long; and her cherished parents, Phillip William Hanson and Myrtle Ruth (Braley) Hanson. Their memories live on deeply within her family and all who cherished her.

Barbara is survived by her cherished daughter, Darlene Morris, and her husband Don, along with five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. To them, she was not just a mother and grandmother but a beacon of love and strength. Her nurturing spirit and gentle presence will be dearly missed, yet her legacy endures through the generations she lovingly cared for.
