Barbara Sue (Mooney) Davis Lem, born February 7, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, in her beloved hometown. A cherished member of her community, Barbara's life was defined by her deep commitment to family and her unwavering dedication to her work.
Growing up in Fort Worth, Barbara formed a lifelong bond with her childhood friend, Donald H. Davis. Their connection blossomed into marriage in February 1975, marking the beginning of many shared adventures. They briefly lived in North Carolina while Donald served overseas, yet Fort Worth remained their cherished home.
Barbara’s professional journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Heritage Trace Nursing Home, where she devoted 30 years to caring for others. Her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on the lives she touched, embodying the very spirit of service.
Upon retirement, Barbara found joy in spending quality time with her grandchildren, who were a significant source of happiness in her life. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of fishing and camping, experiences that brought her closer to nature and her loved ones.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Donald H. Davis; daughters, Beckie Lambert and Mistie Spivey and her husband, Nicholas; son, Jason Stoutsenberger; grandchildren, Hailey, Jake, Tarin, Jacob, Kenleigh, Camrin, Layne, Baylor, Holden, and Landri; as well as great-grandchildren, Wesley, Jaxson, Parker, and Preston. Additionally, she is survived by her niece, Tonja.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Davis Mooney and Mildred Maxine (Tallman) Mooney.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
