William Babcock Phd

William Warren Babcock, 84, passed away, Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Decatur. He was born June 7, 1939 to Dan and Mike Babcock in Minnesota. William was preceded in death by his parents. He studied at Davidson and Tulane universities and received his Phd. in mathematics. William was a professor at the University of Marquette for four years and Northern Michigan University where he retired in 2000. After retirement William moved to Texas to be with his family. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. William is survived by sister, Nancy Dees; son, David Babcock and wife Ricki; daughter, Elezabeth Babcock; grandchildren, Christian, Taylor, and Jordan, four great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
