Decatur – Kyle David Archer , 44, of Austin passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on
February 8, 2022, in Austin, Texas.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Oaklawn Cemetery Pavilion,
In Decatur, Texas. Family, and friends of family, are invited to visitation at 10:00 A.M., and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Dr. David Lowrie, First Baptist, Decatur, will officiate.
Kyle was born January 30, 1978, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents James H. Archer and Dee Ann (Davis) Archer. His family moved to Decatur in January 1987, and he
attended Decatur Schools, graduating in 1997. He worked as a television satellite installer/technician after high school before joining the United Stated Navy in 2000.
He was assigned to duty as an airman aboard the aircraft carrier, USS George Washington, Atlantic Fleet. After discharge, he moved to Austin and started working in remodeling and construction, and landscaping.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fitness workouts at the gym, spending time with family and friends, playing with the family dogs and cats, and cookouts.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, his brother Ken J. Archer(Jessica), grandfather Roland Davis of Denton, uncle and aunt, Terry and Nancy Skodack of Bartonville, aunt Thelma Archer McElroy of Troup, niece Annie Archer, nephews Dylan Archer and Chandler Archer, cousins Steve Skodack of San Antonio, Katy Skodack Liddle of Justin, Sarah Skodack Winters of Flower Mound, Kevin McElroy of Troup, Chloe McElroy of Troup, and Dr. Kerstin Archer Ahn of Arlington. And, in addition, a host of extended family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his grandparents Carl Archer, Lena Archer, and Joette Eagan Davis, great-grandparents Joe L. Eagan and Opal Hixson Eagan, an uncle, Dr. Stanley Archer of College Station, and a cousin, Kevin Skodack, Denton.
