Listen to Obituary

Angel Kay Bankston, affectionately known to many as "Sissy," passed away on June 11, 2026, in Glen Rose, Texas. Born on November 9, 1968, in Fort Worth, TX, Angel was a beacon of light whose presence touched all who had the privilege to know her. She grew up in Fort Worth, where she cultivated her vibrant spirit and an indomitable love for those closest to her.

Angel was an outgoing free spirit and a playful joker whose heart overflowed with kindness and generosity—a true soul with a heart of gold. She dedicated much of her life to being a wonderful homemaker, pouring her love and energy into raising her children and nurturing her family. Family was at the very core of her being, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She leaves behind a living legacy that includes her cherished children Heather Marrs and her husband Mark, Rachael Krueger and her husband Travis, and Katlyn Davis. Her love further blossomed in the embrace of her beloved grandchildren Caden, Case, Callyn, Hayden, and Logan. Angel’s family circle extends warmly to her sister Margaret Patterson; niece Kristie Patterson and her husband Mauricio; nephew Thomas Patterson and his wife Emily; and her adored great-nephews Shane, Luke, and Elias. Though they bear the weight of her absence, their memories and love keep her spirit alive and shining bright.

Angel was preceded in death by her devoted husband Bobby Davis and her beloved parents, Thomas Freemon and Laura (Dixon) Freemon. Their memories rest alongside hers, a treasured part of her journey.

Angel Kay Bankston’s free spirit and boundless warmth will be profoundly missed, but her memory, laughter, and love will forever echo in the hearts of all she held dear. Her story is one of devotion, joy, and an enduring love that transcends time.
