E. Isabel Logan

September 24, 1915 — January 10, 2009

Isabel Crawford Logan, 93, passed away peacefully, Sat., Jan. 10, 2009 at Town Hall Estates in Arlington. Mrs. Logan was born Edith Isabel Crawford on September 24, 1915 in DeRidder, LA., the only child of Merton and Charlotte Crawford. In 1933 she was named "Miss DeRidder", a title her daughters always admired. She attended Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) from 1934 - 1938. She married Burl Logan in 1939 and they had a family of four daughters. He preceeded her in death in 1993 after 55 years of marriage. She was an active member of La Causeire, Phi Mu Fraternity, an avid bridge player and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In her final years she was often heard saying that she had a wonderful life', reflecting on her childhood, marriage and family. Survivors: She is survived by daughters: Elizabeth Williams (Thomas) of Norcross, GA., Martha Rew (Randy) of Arlington, Mary McMillan (John) of Belfast, ME., and Susan McLaury (Norman) of Kenai, AK.; grandchildren, Craig Williams and Celeste Sperback (Geoffrey) of Norcross, GA., Charles Rew of Arlington, Katherine, John Henry and Caroline McMillan of Belfast, ME., Kimberly McLaury of Moclips, WA. and Cody McLaury of Phoenix, AZ. The family extends deepest appreciation to her devoted caregivers in her final years at Town Hall Estates, in Arlington.
