Martha "Marty" Carter

December 21, 1941 — March 19, 2009

Martha (Marty) Vaughan Carter passed away Thursday morning, March 19th at her home in Granbury, Texas with her loving family at her side. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, Martha was the daughter of the late William T. and Maurice (Joni) Bean. She married Alan Carter on June 6th 1964. Marty and Alan lived in Lampasas, Texas for 36 years where they raised their children and managed several businesses. In 2008 they moved to Granbury where together they fought her terminal illness. A family remembrance will be held this summer in St. Albans Bay, Vermont. No local services are planned.
